The Orthopaedic Foundation for Active Lifestyles cocktail celebration

The Orthopaedic Foundation for Active Lifestyles (OFALs) hosted a pre-gala cocktail celebration at The Harvard Club in Manhattan on Tuesday, July 13th to raise awareness for their sixth annual fundraising gala, taking place this fall on October 26.

The cocktail fete honored George K. Kollitides II, managing director of Cerberus Capital Management LP. Honored orthopedic surgeon and OFALs founder Dr. Kevin Plancher led the honorary committee board for the event, which included Stephen Sadove of Saks, Robert Grant, MD, Christine Schott of Prestige Magazine and Sharon Bush.

Friends and supporters including Michel Witmer, Lady Liliana Cavendish, Barbara Dixon, Alison Mazzola, Christa Michalaros, Caroline Alexa McBride, Mark W. Smith, Melissa Berkelhammer, Amy Kalokerinos, Eban MacNeille, Janet De Sena, Alex May, Jessica Baetz, Eli Scheier, Clarice Wong, Courtney Smith, Colleen Minde, Magdelena Swierczewski, Jean Louis Alpeyrie, Vincent Jelani, Des Rielly, Nadia Doh, Jessica Baetz, Irena Schmidt, including Jamie Hill, Jessica Yousif, Bill Connolly, Kelly Hummart, John Kourakos, Josh Siegel, Laura Gottlieb, Chad Ritchie, Amy Rosi, Patricia Wersinger and Yael Horowitz joined Jon Scott, Duane Hill, and Hope Horton for a festive cocktail hour in The Harvard Club’s historic President’s Room.

The Orthopaedic Foundation for Active Lifestyles was created as a not-for-profit organization located on the east coast whose primary function is to effectively promote, support, develop and encourage research and education concerning orthopaedic care and advancements in musculoskeletal disease. It encourages participation by physicians in orthopedic surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation whose practice also includes the care of persons with sport-related musculoskeletal injuries. The Sixth Anniversary Gala to Benefit the Foundation’s Research and Education in the Field of Musculoskeletal Diseases takes place on October 26th, 2010 at Espace in Manhattan. It will feature celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse and a musical performance by John Oates.
