The DecadesOut Inaugural Launch Benefit

The DecadesOut Inaugural Launch Benefit

The DecadesOut Inaugural Launch Benefit kicked off with huge success on June 3 at 7pm at the Classic Car Club with 150 attendees and raised over $10,000.

Guests enjoyed the company’s debut trailers for their first two documentaries, New Land, New Life and Burning to Communicate. There was a live silent auction and delicious eats from Celebrity Chef Sue Torres from Suenos, who coordinated the evening’s festive hors d’oeurves with Chef Abe Lopez from Poco, Chef John Lee from Marseille and Chef Matt Hamilton from Belcourt, along with Salt Restaurant, La Palapa, Amy’s Bread and Manhattan Fruit Exchange. The guests danced the night away to music from the swing band, The Lounge Leader, who has played at Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, Lincoln Center and the Waldorf Astoria. Frank Kuzler, Executive Director, was extremely thrilled about the turnout for the benefit and had this to say…“What struck me most was the overwhelming interest people had in our mission and development. Of course, there were many familiar faces there, but there were many new faces as well...people who had heard about us and wanted to see what we are working on. The cultural range of the attendants too was amazing, from people working in field science to people working on Broadway. Response like that speaks to the company and to our mission, and that’s what excites me most.”

DecadesOut is a new non-profit organization focusing on the production of theatre, film, literature, video and visual arts projects that raise public awareness of the cultural impact between science and humanity. The main thrust of DecadesOut is to see the impact of science on our world through artists’ eyes.
