September Sunset Cocktail Party

Bnai Zion Party Benefits Residential Center for Abused Children in Israel

The weather was gorgeous for the 9/9/09 September Sunset cocktail party that was held on the magnificent terrace of the midtown Bnai Zion House as a benefit for Ahava Village for Children & Youth in Israel, and the crowd that came out for it tremendously enjoyed this very special urban oasis.

Justin Brannan, NY Campaign Director for Bnai Zion, was the MC of the evening, and he introduced NY City Council member Daniel Garodnick, who welcomed everyone. A raffle was held and one of the party participants, John Cudahy, drew the raffle prizes, which included a 32-inch flat-screen TV, tickets to the Jets and Mets, a $1,000 gift certificate from Bare Essentials and a lavish gift basket of OPI products.

With a talented DJ spinning the latest in lounge and dance music, delicious hors d'oeuvres and a vast selection of Israeli wines for tasting courtesy of Gotham Wines, all the necessary elements for a very fun and social evening in the city were in place.

Reaching out to the younger generation is a priority at Bnai Zion and the turn-out at this party attested to the fact that the organization is making great strides in this important area. More singles events are scheduled for autumn and 2010. For more information go to www.bnaizion.org.
