Preview Party Kicks Off Antiques + Modernism Winnetka

On Thursday, October 21, The Woman’s Board of the Winnetka Community House proudly kicked off Antiques+ Modernism Winnetka with a benefit Preview Party at the Winnetka Community House.

More than 350 collectors, designers and supporters of the Winnetka Community House gathered for a sneak peek of this highly anticipated show. Co-chaired by Dania Leemputte and Pam Westin, the preview party raised more than $100,000 to support programs and services of the Winnetka Community House, a non-tax supported organization that is dependent on a broad base of community support for its existence. Event sponsors included Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Branca, Catered By Design, The Grand Food Centers, The Hudson Company, Jim and Carol Hansen, J.P.Morgan, Knauz Autopark, Mark Vend Company, North Shore Community Bank, Northern Trust, One Kings Lane, Secure Futures Insurance Agency and Wright. The Preview Party offered an excellent entrée for the stellar eve nt.

Antiques + Modernism Winnetka, a fusion of the Midwest’s most well-respected antiques and modernism shows, celebrated periods of design ranging from the 17th century to the mid 20th century. Throughout the weekend, sixty of the country’s most esteemed dealers showcased exquisite examples of American, British, French and Asian antiques, as well as pieces from the Arts and Crafts, Art Nou¬veau, Art Deco and Mid-Century design movements. Offerings included furniture, silver, ceramics, jewelry, garden antiques, lighting, rugs, textiles, fine and folk art, architectural artifacts and more.
