Mayor's Fund Spring Soiree Hosted by Halle Berry and Mayor Bloomberg at Red Rooster

The Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City took things uptown for its Spring Soiree where Halle Berry hosted a sold out young professional crowd at Marcus Samuelsson’s Red Rooster.

The Soiree followed a private charity dinner hosted by Ms. Berry, Mayor Bloomberg, and Ron Perlman and included beats by DJ mOma and a performance by Grammy Award winning Estelle. Spring Soiree Event Chairs were Jake Bright, Sora Caetano, Keri Ingvarsson, Mia Morgan, and Mike Muse, who have a track record of selling out Mayor’s Fund young professional events. The young and spirited charity team was on hand in Red Rooster’s new lounge with Ms. Berry and Mayor Bloomberg to host guests, most of whom added dancing to their mingling shortly after the remarks. The entire evening raised over $450,000 and benefited the Family Justice Initiative of New York’s Family Justice Centers, which provide legal and counseling services to victims of domest ic violence in the city. The event was a kick off of sorts for the Mayor’s Fund. Previously focused on the annual Fete de Swifty benefit, the non-profit connected to City Hall will now focus on several smaller events a year similar in format to the June 14 dinner and Soiree.
