Lighthouse International 2011 POSH Fashion Sale
05/12/2011 - By New York, NY

A record number of shoppers turned out for the 2011 POSH® Sale, which was held at the legendary Plaza Hotel in New York City from May 12-15.

For nearly 40 years, the Lighthouse POSH® Sale has been the East Coast’s leading fashion fundraiser, offering new and gently worn designer clothing, accessories and footwear for women, men and children.

The Plaza Hotel hosted the POSH® Sale, graciously providing space and support which helped Lighthouse International attract a larger audience than ever before. The sale featured clothing from fashion icons such as Alexander McQueen, Christian Louboutin, Chanel, Dior, Ferragamo, Gucci, Hermes and more! Thousands of designer, vintage, and contemporary clothes and accessories were sold at deep discounts up to 80 percent off retail. All of the proceeds from POSH® benefit Lighthouse International’s mission of fighting vision loss through prevention, treatment and empowerment.

Leading up to the POSH® Sale was A POSH® Affair, Lighthouse International’s annual gala. The event, which took place in The Plaza Hotel’s Grand Ballroom, honored fashion icons Kim Baker Campbell, Amy Fine Collins and Linda Fargo.

Rosanna Scotto, co-host of Fox 5’s Good Day New York, was the master of ceremonies for A POSH® Affair. Kim Baker Campbell, the co-founder of POSH®, was presented with the POSH® Lifetime Visionary award. Amy Fine Collins, a special correspondent to Vanity Fair, was granted the POSH® Fashion Visionary award. Linda Fargo, Senior Vice President, Fashion Office and Store Presentation at Bergdorf Goodman, was given the POSH® Lifestyle Visionary Award.
