JNFuture's 2nd annual Shabbat in the Park

Gov. Paterson spoke to over 250 young leaders at JNFuture's 2nd annual Shabbat in the Park on Friday, June 5th.

Governor Paterson spoke of the achievements of JNFuture and JNF as a leading partner in the environment in the world, and the importance of spreading that message in New York State.

Located in Sheep Meadow in Central Park, guests enjoyed a full formal Shabbat dinner and connected to Shabbat, Israel and the environment. JNFuture chair and founding member Ben Jablonski, was presented with the JNFuture Visionary Award for his commitment to mission of JNF and the land of Israel. Shabbat in the Park is a unique and meaningful way to connect to Shabbat, Israel and the environment. Guests included current JNFuture Friends and Leaders, as well as many new faces. Shabbat in the Park is just one of many JNFuture programs that provides a pluralistic and welcoming environment and allows all who are involved to feel a part of JNF's work in Israel in New York City.

JNFuture is the gateway for the next generation to JNF. To learn more about JNFuture and how to get involved, contact Gabrielle Carlin, gcarlin@jnf.org or call 212.879.9305 ext. 506.
