Fountain Gallery’s End of Annual Meeting Season Celebration

Fountain Gallery, the premier venue in New York City representing artists with mental illness, kicked off the summer season on June 3, 2011, by presenting 100 original artworks for sale at the 8th End of Annual Meeting Season Celebration.

Nearly 200 guests were on hand for this evening of cocktails and delicacies, art and live music, which took place at the offices of Ellen Philip Associates in Manhattan.

Event Co-Chairs and Hosts were Ellen Philip, Cal Donly, and Carl T. Hagberg. This year's event honored David Smith, former President of the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals.

The End of Annual Meeting Season Celebration was established in 2004 by Carl T. Hagberg and Associates and Ellen Philip Associates to bring together professionals from the financial services and related industries to celebrate the end of the grueling "proxy season" while raising funds for Fountain Gallery.

Founded by Fountain House in 2000 as a not-for-profit exhibition space for artists living and working with mental illness, Fountain Gallery sells original artworks and collaborates with a wide network of artists, curators and cultural institutions. Embracing artists who are emerging or established, trained or self-taught, the Gallery cultivates artistic growth and makes a vital contribution to the New York arts community. Agnes Gund, President Emerita of The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), has praised the Gallery's "fine works of art made by excellent artists."
