2010 New York Red Cross Ball
06/08/2010 - By New York, NY

2010 New York Red Cross Ball

At the 2010 New York Red Cross Ball, held at The Plaza Hotel in Manhattan, the American Red Cross in Greater New York presented its 2010 Humanitarian Award.

It went to Pat and John Rosenwald, and Brookfield Properties was honored with the Corporate Leadership Award, which was accepted by CEO Ric Clark and Co-Chairman John Zuccotti. Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and Mort Zuckerman presented the awards to the Rosenwalds and Brookfield respectively. American Red Cross Celebrity Cabinet member and leading Univision Network on-air personality Giselle Blondet emceed the event.

The Ball, which was attended by approximately 450 Red Cross supporters, raised funds to support the Red Cross’ free humanitarian services, which include providing immediate emergency care—food, shelter, clothing, health and mental health services—to the thousands of New Yorkers displaced by emergencies and disasters every year in New York City and Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Sullivan counties.
