On Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 6:00 p.m., colorful and original signed works of art, or “Doodles,” created by celebrities were auctioned off at the 12th Annual “Doodle For Hunger®: Celebrity Art Auction.”

John Travolta, Donald Trump, Peter Max, LeRoy Neiman, Jeff Bridges, Archbishop Timothy Dolan, Bill O’Reilly, Jane Lynch, Yogi Berra, Blake Lively, Betty White, Martin Sheen, Kirk Douglas, Kristen Wiig, Manolo Blahnik, and many more signed works of art were auctioned off. The annual charity auction was hosted by St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters, which helps feed and shelter over nine thousand underprivileged families in New York City area each week. The event featured a tribute to Bill Gallo, legendary Daily News cartoonist, with special presentation to the Gallo Family by Police Commissioner Ray Kelly. The evening’s Guest of Honor was Fox News’ Geraldo Rivera and was hosted by Fox 5 News Anchor, Ernie Anastos. Guests enjoyed a cocktail party, Doodle preview, silent auction and live auction led by acting great Tony Lo Bianco. The event took place at Pier Sixty Chelsea Piers and was Sponsored by John & Margo Catsimatidis. “Doodle for Hunger” was attended by over 600 guests and raised nearly $500,000.
